I use a pitch which is somewhere between shriek black and deep death growls, also articullation is important to me. If you wanna hear some of it, click http://www.inevitable-end.com/01_-_I...ntegration.mp3
Some years ago I was more into the black metal thing, high pitch and so on. @/ |

For me, being a vocalist a 3 different bands (all three different styles) I've been able to develop my own style, which, in my opinion crosses between Tomas Lindberg (At the Gates) and Mikael Akerfeldt (Opeth) with some metalcore(ish) influences in there... mainly because that is how my natural scream sounds...

My vocal style is divided into 3, my main stlye is a sort of high pitched rasp, then I have a sort of lower grunt/rasp and finally I have a proper high pitched
scream not unlike early Cradle Of Filth but more high pitched (I can also sing while screaming which I'm proud of) |

I'm good at growling (similar to Amon Amarth and Deicide) and screaming (primarily used in punk, seen in bands like Horse the Band and Gallows), and also some alternative types of harsh vocals (like the tone of the Agonist's singer, or the hissing sound of the Arch Enemy singer). I'm also good at throat screams (Soulfly, etc.) but I know they fuck up your voice so I try not to do them a lot. The only kind of vocal I really suck at would have to be conventional black metal vocals + soaring power metal vocals. Those, I can't do.
