I have to agree. But thats what I was hoping for so I could try and get some "mentoring" I guess on where to go in metal

i remember it well, i saw a promo for the crusher in the back of some metal magazine. though i had been listening to ozzy(ozmosis was my very first metal album), fear factory and stuff like that for a while but amon amarth was my entrance into extreme metal. Then i got into stuff like dark tranquility and vintersorg. lately im big on older death metal.

I have been listening to metulz for eight years now.

I listen to all sorts of other stuff but I still like to pick up my Flying V and headbang for a while.

Thats a difficult one to answer.
Over the years I have liked a metal band here and there.
I used to mostly like hard rock before that. Then most of the hard rock bars and clubs started playing mainstream music becasue most hard rock fans were of the age that they have families and no longer go out 3 times per week. Main stream music attracted more customers. Then I started going to metal clubs and bars instead and got to like more metal bands.

Meh....I sort have evolved ever since i was 7....going from punk rock...to heavy rock....to a mix of classic and modern types of metal. Constantly evolving...heavier and heavier metal came my way. Around age 12 was my first concert. A local concert....not really metal...more heavy rock....but it was sic as hell!

im listening to metal since 1994 when i was 8. started with just Megadeth and after 11 years i got into Korn, Sepultura and Marilyn Manson.

I would have stayed with Megadeth. Korn are a good band but not really Metal and Manson is ok sometimes. Old Sepultura is good, but after Max left it really started to suck.
