I'm not too bothered about videos as in my opinion many of them just look cheesy. Its cool when you just get the band performing but when they act out stuff etc for the video that tends to irritate me 'cause ot just looks stupid!

I don't like music viedo's, because most of my bands are really cheesy. HammerFall being one of them. The only true music video I like is :

Demons & Wizards-Terror Train

I, too, don't care about musicvideos, since I have no need to see what a song is about. It lies in the lyrics.

come on, of course there is never a 'need' to see a music video, but if and when you do watch one, you do have an opinion on it. i do not watch videos to understand what a song is about, its just that if i do have spare time on the internet, i sometimes download videos just for the sake of enjoying it, not for understanding it. for instance, i had read about the video of 'call of the wintermoon' in a lot of places, so i decided to download it ,out of curosity maybe, and enjoyed it thoroughly. by 'your favourite metal video', i do not necessarily mean one that is very depictive of the lyrics, very well made or anything, it should just be enjoyable.

I never watch musicvideos, I simply just don't care about it. Besides, most of the bands I listen to don't even use musicvideos.

fine.and also i'd like to add that because i have listed these videos doesnt mean that i listen to only these, or these type of bands only, but they(sp metallica) WERE among my fav bands once, and it was then that i had downloaded the videos and as Alfader said, most of my favourite bands TODAY dont have music videos too.

I don't bother much with watching music videos. Most of them suck. I don't like visuals leading music much either.

hmm, I totally agree with Surma, Alfader and Jake.
Most of the time videos look ridiculous. Everything's in the lyrics and the music... I don't need image, and the bands who could need something to watch are good enough to bring images through the music itself.
The only videos which can be interesting are live ones, so I can say I enjoy X JAPAN's "Art of life - live" (a 30 minutes long track played live)
