It may be the person who pulls the trigger, but at the end of the day, no guns, no shootings, less murders. I bet the people responsible for the shootings that go on would baulk at killing someone if they had to get up close and personal with a knife or something.....

That's why knife murders and home invasions are at an all time high in Britain. Seems to be working well for you guys, doesn't it?

Hey, everywhere has its problems, but we're no-where near as band as you guys for armed assault.

ITT, every American is a mindless trigger happy freak.

But no, each state has its own gun laws. Here in California, you can't even carry a concealed weapon unless you are law enforcement.

On the other hand, if you take weapons away from people that wish to use them, they'll either attain them illegally, fashion their own weaponry, or use something else (blunt, sharp, et cetera).

Really, what truly is wrong with America and the rest of the world is that we purport that being a HUEG MELTING POT OF CULTURES (forced assimilation) is the best thing ever. Coupled with the liberal idea that everyone is equal (Genius with 130+ IQ gets the same rights as a semi-retarded, uneducated black man and vice versa), and we have the stupidity we all know as America. The mentally slow, the lazy, and the unfit get all of the benefits while the intelligent, brilliant and the strong are left to atrophy.

For example, my high school (don't know the European equivalent) has a GATE, or Gifted and Talented Educational program that I am a part of because I'm at a 132 IQ, but the program only entails joining Advanced Placement courses (meaning more work, but the same learning, and anyone that isn't GATE can even join), whereas the students with the lower grade averages and IQs are still able to join this class, and other EASIER CLASSES. Holy fuck. Because America is the land of opportunity, amirite? The stepping-stone for the weak and stupid.

But don't feel safe over there in Europe and elsewhere. It's nearly the same as it is here. Especially in Germany, where they have some kind of stigma with nationalism in any form.

I couldn't agree more. We have a dispisable slob culture that is fast growing in Britian, were the lazy and dumb simply live on benefits, with no encouragement to seek employment, that the normal functioning, self sufficient person pays for.

I didn't even bother with uni, the Education system over here is so lame. I learn't all I needed to on law, took an examination to register with the ICA, and I now trade as company Law advisor and because I don't trade as a solicitor/lawyer I'm not required to have a degree or register anywhere - thus saving myself a bunch of student loans, yearly membership fees and a load of retarded bureaucracy.

You don't even have to be smart to get along with out bringing people down, but living in a culture of stagnant apathy, no one seems to care that we're in a cycle of biological devolution, turning back into apes.

I'm a gun guy, to say I love guns is an understatement, but to call me a trigger happy freak would be far from the truth. Last year, when someone broke into our home, (while I was home alone mind you) the last thing on my mind was to grab my shotgun and blow the bastard away. I had every right to do so, and it would have been easy to do, as he had no idea I was in the house with him.

It all depends on the person. I use my guns to relax and to hunt. Others get guns for the purpose of defending themselves, others get them for sole purpose of hurting others. The same could be said of a man who buys a knife, or even a hatchet at a hard ware store... There is no way to keep all people with violent tendencies away from a weapon of one form or another.

As for the "I Hate America" comment: take a number, go to the back of the line, and shut up, I'm tired of hearing about it. You think it sucks to read about what it's like here, try living here for once. It's a lot worse than any writer or news report can tell you...

I'm from Texas and have known how to fire guns for years.

I am also very american and love how ridiculously easy it is to get by in the country.

i'm from texas and have never even touched a gun in my entire life. i feel like if i did, it would give a sense of false empowerment, and i'd be like every other gun-totin' fear driven american.
