what do you think of this band?


I like all of their old works (especially Clayman), but I'm very disappointed by their last 2 albums (R2R, Soundtrack...)

they were one of my first metal bands I started listening to, and I still like to listen to them from time to time, although not as much as before...

I only like Lunar Strain, Jester, and Whoracle. Hate all of their newer stuff. I don't mind Colony or Clayman but they are not my favorite. They are my favorite melodeath band.

In Flames is one of my favorite bands. Yes their older stuff was much better. I think that even Clayman was a pretty good album and Rerout to Remain has some decent tracks on it too(If I am in right mood i find the album quite enjoyable). Soundrtack was a dissapointment(not that bad album, but not(old)In Flames worthy also). Well I hope that the new album will be good. My fav album right now is "Whoracle" or "Lunar Strain & Subterranean".

I like all In Flames, even Soundtrack however I would be lying if I said I wasn't dissapointed with it.

I like many of you are a huge fan of In Flames i saw their Tour For Your Escape when it came here and it's one of the top ten shows i've ever been to. My favorite work of theirs is Lunar Strain, the guitar playing is not as melodic but a little more technical. The real reason this album is my favorite is Mikael Stanne's performance. He is just so much more exciting as a vocalist than Anders is. If Mikael Stanne had made Whoracle, that would be my favorite In Flames album.

Exactly what have In Flames got to do with death metal, especially their piss poor new stuff?

Never been a fan, but the old stuff was tolerable... the new stuff has hit an all time low.

im a big fan of them i can only say that they are very good , and new albums...well they just changed a lil bit theyr creativity (:
best albums for me is Clayman , Reroute to remain and Whoracle 8)

I would not say that the newer In Flames albums are piss poor. I would say ReRoute to Remain is a quality album and Soundtrack to Your Escape is decent. The band has changed their sound in a less than perfect way, but i would rather have a band change their sound at some point. I bet even more people would be bitching if In Flames were to make two more Claymans.

Well i dont think it is piss poor either, but well people have different tastes.And people shal complain always-if you change your style someone will get pissed and if you shall keep going with same old bullshit someone will get pissed, thats the way the life is. Just sad that In Flames changed for wors.
